What operators
taught us.

Good software starts with listening to the people doing the work.

Discovery and beta onboarding have expanded into woodworking, jewelry, gunsmithing, and construction. Those conversations are shaping MarginCommand's ongoing development.

Our starting market remains owner-operated event catering. Adjacent workflows are being explored through discovery and controlled beta learning.

Start with the way I price.

Operators already have pricing habits and hard-earned judgment. That is the starting point for a useful workflow.

Make missing costs visible.

A quote can look complete while labor or materials are still unknown. Our design priority is to make those gaps clear.

Keep me in control.

AI can assist with review. The operator makes the decision and approves financial updates.

Built in the Business. Used on Real Work. See the founder-operated foundation

MarginCommand has been used for months in the founder's catering business. The following are representative examples of founder-operated use, not independent customer validation.

  • Wedding Reception: estimates, customer documents, and variance review.
  • Church Fundraiser: protein, sides, labor, travel, and approved actuals.
  • Drop-off Event: quote-to-actual records, margin review, and export.

The beachhead is owner-operated event catering. The same quote-to-actual mechanism applies to any fixed-price job business — custom woodworking and small trade contractors are the first expansion markets, gated on catering validation.

Does AI make financial decisions for me?

No. AI output is advisory. You review and approve actual costs before they become part of the financial record.
